OFFICIAL LAUNCH OF PDL1 CLAN BANK ACCOUNT OPENING SET FOR 20 MAY 2024

In reference to the previous notice published on the 29 of April 2024, Mineral Resource Development Company (MRDC) wishes to announce the official launching of the Petroleum Development License 1 (PDL 1) Clan Bank Account Opening on Monday 20 of May 2024 at the Nogoli Hides PDL1, Hela Province.

Following the completion of the clan meeting minutes collection from the 22 to 26 April 2024, MRDC would like to inform the PDL 1 beneficiaries that 69 out of 121 clans’ meeting minutes collected have complied with and have submitted one (1) meeting minute each as per the pre-awareness messaging.

In order for the Department of Petroleum and the PNG Electoral Commission to endorse clan meeting minutes for the disputing clans, MRDC encourages that all intra-clan disputes on the composition of the clan executive must be resolved prior to the launching date.

MRDC takes this opportunity to inform the beneficiaries that the Bank South Pacific (BSP) will now proceed to open the Clan Bank Accounts after the launch on 20 May 2024. Therefore, all PDL 1 beneficiary clans listed in the Clan Bank Account Opening Schedule below are advised to adhere to the dates indicated to open your respective clan bank accounts according to the regions/blocks.
