PRG CITF Programs

The Gobe Petroleum Project is in Erave District of the Southern Highlands Province and Kikori District of Gulf Province. It is Papua New Guinea’s second oil development after the Kutubu project. Oil was first discovered in the area in 1990s, a petroleum development licence was granted in December 1996 and the actual oil production began in March 1998. Gobe Oil Project is located in PDL 3 and 4, the first unitised petroleum project in the country. The Gobe Petroleum Project is operated by Oil Search (PNG) Limited. 

PRG falls under this mandate, and as manager and agent of PRG, MRDC manages, control and runs all PRG’s corporate, financial investments and other affairs under a management agreement.

Yanguli Community School – January 2019

Construction of a double classroom and a teacher’s house.
Both have been completed.

Wemi Primary School – January 2019

2 x double classrooms and a teacher’s house.
The classroom and teacher’s house have been completed.

Mororogo Primary School – January 2019

Construction of a double classroom and a teacher’s house.
Both have been completed.

Kaiam Primary School – April 2018

 

The project includes the construction of 2 x Double Classrooms and 2 x Teacher’s houses. Work on the double classrooms have been completed. The two teacher’s houses are nearing completion.

The first of the two Teacher’s house which is 80% complete to date.

Baina Community School – January 2019

The project includes the construction of 2 x Double Classrooms and 2 x Teacher’s houses.

Don Mosely High School – January 2019

1 x Double classrooms and 1 x teachers’ houses
