GR-PNGLNG Plant CITF Funds Key Primary Education Infrastructure MRDC through the GR-PNGLNG Plant Board has undertaken a number of primary, community and high schools’ double classrooms and staff houses constructions in Boera village in Central Province. Implementation of Community Infrastructure Trust Funds (CITF) projects are guided by guideline as set in accordance with the Oil and Gas Act, No 49 of 1998. The guideline as formulated by the Department of Client Services defines the process of implementing the CITF projects. Under the Act, 30%, of the dividends from royalties and equities from the oil, gas and mining projects and investments are put into the CITF Trust accounts. The Managing Director is the trustee of all funds under the trust including CITF.

Boera Primary School – October 2018


In pursuit of improving living standards in the area, the company aims to enhance health and education services in the four impacted villages. A major one being the Boera’s teachers duplex, costing up to K900, 000 from CITF.
2 x Tractor Donation – March 2019


2x fully kitted tractors donated to the Boera Women in Agriculture for agriculture purposes. The company aims to promote subsistence farming in the area.
20 x Outboard Motors and Dinghies – September 2019


Twenty (20) brand new dinghies and outboard motors to Boera Village to bring back and encourage the culture of subsistence fishing.
Poreabada Community Health Centre – March 2019


Fully kitted state of the art level 2, community health centre built in Porebada village to service the four plant villages. Built according to the design of the Health Department, it is compliant with the National and Provincial Department of Health Standards.
Plant Site Community Ambulance – May 2018


1x fully kitted ambulance donated to the Porebada Health Centre for emergency purposes into the city.
Papa Primary School – March 2019


2x double classrooms built under an already existing high post double classroom for Papa Primary School. While building downstairs, the company also took the responsibility to do touch ups to the two existing classrooms. This project cost up to K410, 000 funded through Papa CITF.
Rearea Primary School – May 2018


2x high quality two storey double classrooms built by the company for the Rea-Rea Primary School. Gas Resources PNGLNG Plant Limited is a beacon of hope for the people as they are filling in to provide services that the provincial government lack to provide.
